History of the family business Henninger

The history oft the family business Henninger roots in Southern Germany, where it is still based today. The products have been designed and manufactured there since 1956. Henninger has been keeping the promise to its customers ever since, of being a pioneer in terms of precision, custom solutions, flexibility & service. 65 years later we are looking back to a full history of high-precision work, loads of experiences and a team filled with profound know-how. We are eager and curious for the plentitude of possibilities and technical potentials the future will bring to us and our clients.

2017

further development of our Centre-Grinding-Machine: Quantum leap in the accuracy, also with extremely thin-walled parts by means of the high sensitive vice

2015

the Centre Grinding Machine ZS 2000: clamping with air bearing “non-contact clamping”

2014

our  Spindle Speeder type 832 breaks the 50.000 1/min  & evolves into a best seller. ANCA CNC Machines is one of many clients of that model

2011

Air Speeders line 848/852 are designed more compact and more variable

2007

delivery of the newly designed Centre Grinding Machine type ZS 1000 for heavy workpieces in vertical processes

2006

the family business Henninger KG celebrates its 50th anniversary

launching the high performance spindle speeders with 20 kW at 12,000 rpm & line 834 with rigidity comparable with High-Frequency-Spindles on the market

2004

for the first time a two-sided horizontal CNC-controlled Centre Grinding Machine ZS 2000 is presented at an international fair

1999

Helmut Henninger sells the Henninger KG. Jakob Kerres takes over the company, it now trades under the name of Henninger GmbH & Co.KG. The business location, the employees & product spectrum remain unchanged.

1998

development of the Henninger CNC-controlled vertical Centre-Grinding-Machine

1993

the Motor Spindles 940, 950, 960 & 965 are launches

1982

a new & bigger company building is built in Straubenhardt-Conweiler near Karlsruhe & Stuttgart in Southern Germany

1980

the further development of the 90 ° fixed Angle Heads is being pushed & furthered

1974

design & manufacturing of Live Centres, Live Chucke Flanges & Face Drivers

1971

the first Henninger Centre Grinding Machines are sold

1970

exporting Henninger products is multiplied & representatives in the entire world & contribute greatly to increase the company awareness

1965

the company Henninger becomes independent & the building is expanded with office rooms

further development of the Spindle Speeders with mechanical ratio  to include more & different rotational speeds & powers (type 822 – 826)

1962

Helmut Henninger, the founder’s son, joins the family business Henninger and takes over the management responsibilities

1960

a new production hall is being built in Straubenhardt near Karlsruhe & Stuttgart in Southern Germany

1958

manufacturing of the world-wide first ever completely ball bearing equipped manual & angle joints for dentists & surgeons

1956

Arthur Henninger starts up the Henninger KG company as a branch of the AHK company based in Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg, Germany
