Live Centers, Centering Cones, Face Drivers and Chuck Flanges
These Henninger center series combine the highest levels of precision (runout accuracy from 1 µm) with the capability to support workpieces weighing up to 30 tonnes. They are available in all common tool taper sizes. Live centers serve as a precise support for workpieces in turning and grinding machines. Centering cones enable the accurate positioning of tubes and shafts with end-face bores. Face drivers allow complete machining of shafts and similar components without the need for rechucking.
For workpieces without center bores, we offer live chuck flanges. These enable the mounting of a second chuck in the tailstock of a lathe.
Custom solutions are also available across all center series to meet individual customer requirements.
Live Centers are designed to support rotating workpieces between centers and feature integrated bearings that rotate with the workpiece, significantly reducing friction, heat generation and wear.
Centering Cones are used for the precise centering of workpieces or components with internal bores. Their tapered design provides accurate, self-centering positioning without play.
Face Drivers are used in turning operations between centers to drive the workpiece via a positive mechanical connection at the end face. Their key advantage is reliable torque transmission without the need for a chuck.
Chuck Flanges are adapter components used to mount lathe chucks onto machine spindles. Their precision-machined design ensures an accurate, low-vibration connection between the spindle and the workholding device.
