air turbines
spindles with independant drice and high rotating speeds
Type 848 + 852
Our air turbines all feature their own drive system and are therefore completely independent of the respective machine spindle during operation. If required, the add-on spindles are equipped with all common tool interfaces and spindle tapers, making them suitable for virtually all machine tools.
To achieve the required cutting data, for example in die sinking and surface finishing applications, the high speeds of air turbines are essential. Modern cutting materials also demand higher feed rates. Conventional machine tools are often unable to provide the necessary spindle speeds. This is where Henninger spindles are used.
Air supply on Henninger air turbines can be routed centrally through the tool taper. This also enables easy handling via the machine’s automatic tool changer.
Type 848 + 852 overview
- Speed up to 80,000 rpm
- Maintenance-free and air-driven
- Air supply from the side or centrally
- Automatic tool change possible
- High runout accuracy
- Precision bearing system
Engraving: Fine markings in hardened steel or jewellery.
Micro-drilling: Production of extremely small holes in medical technology or the watchmaking industry.
PCB machining: Precise drilling and milling of circuit boards.
Fine finishing: Achieving mirror-smooth surfaces, significantly reducing manual post-processing (polishing).
Machining of hardened steels: High spindle speeds reduce cutting force per tooth, enabling the use of small carbide end mills in hard materials.
Model making: Rapid milling of Ureol or other block materials.
Optical components: Machining of mounts or housings with extremely thin wall sections.
