Fixed Centers & Precision Tapers
The fixed center and taper series from Henninger combine maximum precision with exceptional load capacity. Offering runout accuracy from as low as 1 µm while supporting workpiece weights up to 30 tons, these precision tooling systems are available in all common machine taper sizes.
Live centers serve as highly precise support elements for workpieces in turning and grinding machines, ensuring stable rotation and superior concentricity. Precision center cones allow accurate clamping of tubes and shafts with face-side bores, while face drivers enable complete machining of shafts without the need for repositioning or reclamping.
For workpieces without center holes, we offer rotating chuck flanges designed to accommodate a secondary chuck in the tailstock of a lathe, expanding machining flexibility for complex applications.
Custom-engineered solutions are available across all center and taper series to meet specific customer requirements and demanding manufacturing environments.
Fixed Centers
Fixed centers are used to support workpieces during turning operations between centers. Because they remain stationary rather than rotating with the workpiece, they offer exceptional rigidity, durability, and dimensional stability under high machining loads.
Precision Tapers
Precision tapers are used for the accurate positioning, alignment, and connection of tooling and machine components. Their tapered geometry creates a self-locking, highly concentric interface that ensures maximum positioning accuracy and stability.
Extraction Nuts
Extraction nuts are designed to apply controlled axial force to press-fit or tapered assemblies, enabling the safe and damage-free removal of tightly seated components while distributing force evenly during disassembly.
